Because my personal belief align with USGBC Colorado’s I am
pursing serving on the Board of Directors. I wish to assist in the
further improvement of buildings for the benefit of the occupants
and to reduce their impact on the planet. I want to educate others of
the value in the alteration of their indoor spaces, and the
environment as a whole. I am also interested in serving on the
board because I enjoy the inspiring, helpful, and knowledgeable
people that participate in USGBC.
My passion for sustainability comes from my belief that natural
resources belong to everyone; no one has the right to deplete or do
irreversible harm to them. My interest in green building stems from
my enthusiasm for sustainability; greening buildings can help
preserve and improve the quality of life we enjoy today for our
future.
My experience as a mechanical engineer, energy modeler, and
non-profit event fundraiser manager provide a breadth of
qualifications for the Board of Directors. As a mechanical engineer and energy modeler I contribute to the mission of USGBC to achieve good environmental quality and energy efficiency. I have worked on many LEED projects and have
working knowledge of the goals of USGBC.
As a non-profit fundraising event manager I lead several annual
fundraising events and oversaw volunteers, participants,
scheduling, and budgeting.
I was the lead annual fundraiser event manager for Black Sheep
Junior Cycling, contributing to two successful annual fundraising
campaigns, and assisted with several others.
I have yet to gain substantial business leadership and
financial management experience but I work closely with my
team and project managers to organize, manage, budget,
and complete work on large and small projects consistently.
Planning, human relations, interpreting and following policies
expertise are essential to my work as a mechanical engineer
and energy modeler.
My professional and technical experience is in mechanical
design; in which I provide practical green building solutions
to a variety of building types. I have experience with energy
reduction techniques, technologies, and renewable energy
systems.
