Green Leasing- Landlords and tenants alike are finding value in investing extra time, money and effort in order to establish green objectives; yet, the successful documentations, and counter-party recognition and implementation of such green objectives is a critical element that can often slip through the cracks. A green lease is a necessary tool to document the specifics of landlords’ and tenants’ sustainable and renewable practices policies, and to ensure that both parties will make a collaborative effort to achieve each other’s green objectives. Presentation will offer a discussion of green leasing issues.
-
Tax Credits & Sustainable Development- Presentation will discuss the incentives and credits that are available through the Energy Improvement & Extension Act of 2008 and any laws implemented after the new administration takes office, including the deduction for energy efficient commercial buildings, solar credits, geothermal etc. Such incentives and credits may make a project more attractive to you or your client or favorable impact the cost of your project.
-
Avoiding Liability While Developing a Sustainable Project- As sustainable development becomes more common place, more claims will be made based on issues related to such development and lawsuits will begin to make their way through the court system. This presentation will discuss the potential risks of sustainable development and offer practical and legal solutions to protect all parties from unnecessary liability and loss.
