- 5+ years energy modeling experience with DOE 2, TRANSYS, EnergyPlus, or other detailed hourly simulator.
- Registration as a professional engineer is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills -- oral, written, and presentation -- and facility with necessary supporting software (Microsoft: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Motivated to engage in ongoing training to keep skills current and fresh.
- Able and willing to mentor junior staff.
- Able to communicate with clients and lead junior staff in satisfying client concerns and requirements.
- Expertise in complex building mechanical systems and state-of-the-art energy efficiency technologies/ applications.
- Project management experience; including people and time management skills.

- Ability to travel out of state.
Our interest will be even greater if you have these qualifications:
- 10+ years experience in a building related field, preferably experience in mechanical engineering, architecture, HVAC design, commissioning or building operations.
- Experience in designing/evaluating state-of-the-art sustainable design technologies for commercial new construction that might include: natural ventilation, mixed-mode ventilation, solar cooling, etc.
- Experience with additional simulation software programs tailored to sustainable design analysis, such as: DesignBuilder, Virtual Environment, Ecotect, etc.
- LEED AP status.
- Experience with “Integrated Systems” planning and design.
