Coordinator for UNEP Sustainable Buildings Policies in Developing Countries (SPOD)

The objective of SPOD is to create the capacity for countries to establish a policy foundation for mainstreaming sustainable construction and buildings, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and to assist developing countries in efforts of poverty alleviation, social equity and economic prosperity through policies for sustainable construction and buildings.

The SPOD project builds on the work done jointly by the Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative (SBCI) and the Finland-led Marrakech Task Force on Sustainable Buildings and Construction (MTF), and will be closely coordinated with UNEP’s and Habitat’s common work on sustainable urban development.

The Neenan Company - Sustainability Coordinator

The Neenan Company LLLP is committed to working with our clients to provide sustainable solutions.  The Sustainability Coordinator will have overall responsibility for The Neenan Company’s sustainable effort. 

  • Coordinate in-house Sustainability training; ie. LEED professional training, continuing education programs related to all aspects of sustainability.
  • Manage our voluntary green-house gas reduction plan for the City of Fort Collins Climate Wise Program.
  • Represent the Neenan Company at community events as a sustainability coordinator; (examples: USGBC Northern Colorado Chapter, Climate Wise, Governor’s Energy Office, etc.).
  • Represent TNC at speaking engagements around sustainability at various public functions and   industry conferences.
  • Assist in the development of brochures and marketing material in order to educate our clients on sustainability options

Southwest Energy Efficiency Project- Transportation Efficiency Program

The Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) is seeking an individual to lead its Transportation Efficiency Program. Location is either in our Boulder, CO office or from a home office in the metropolitan Denver area. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and advocate state policies for increasing energy efficiency in the transportation sector including regulatory, incentive, and educational policies;
  • Analyze the potential energy savings, costs, and benefits of policies and programs for increasing energy efficiency in transportation;
  • Interact with state officials, businesses, and other public interest groups active in the transportation area;
  • Keep abreast of new and emerging energy efficiency technologies in the transportation area;
  • Conduct outreach to raise awareness of these energy efficiency opportunities.

The Program Director will carry out these activities in conjunction with other SWEEP staff including a Transportation Program Associate as well as state representatives.

This unique and timely pocket guide is looking to fill the growing gap for simple-to-use, nationally-applicable, green building product information for the average DIY homeowners, builders, designers, and building product retailers; the majority of whom do not know what makes a building product green; yet local codes or incentives are driving them into the green building market.
We are looking for a partner who will bring:
-distribution experience and the ability to implement a national distribution system to serve the home improvement and bookseller retailers;
-and leadership and management skills to create a national sales team.
