Rocky Mountain Green 2010 - April 21 and 22, 2010 - CO Convention Center

USGBC Colorado is now accepting proposals for educational sessions at Rocky Mountain Green 2010, the Chapter’s annual two-day conference. Educational sessions will reflect the growing diversity of industries and sectors involved in Colorado's green building community, and will address all aspects of sustainable design, construction, and operations practices for buildings and communities, including their impact on people, the environment, and the economy.

New in 2010, session proposals will be evaluated in the context of GBCI's new Credential Maintenance Program. Therefore, proposals must clearly identify the applicable USGBC Learning Level, and include clearly articulated learning objectives.

Resources for developing proposals:

Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by an independent committee of volunteers based on the following criteria:

  • Offers a deep understanding on timely & important content of interest to a wide range of conference attendees;
  • Includes qualified presenters with topic-relevant experience, as demonstrated by presenter bios, and speaking experience;
  • Contributes to the diversity of the conference offerings in terms of topics, presentation style, presenter experience, and/or professional or geographic perspective;
  • Fits within and contributes to identified session topics;
  • Clearly articulated learning objectives; and
  • Attracts new audiences to the USGBC Colorado green building community

All proposals for the 2010 conference must be submitted via the Chapter's new online proposal management system, which will be live on or before October 30, 2009. Visit USGBC Colorado's home page or bookmark this speakers page to submit a proposal. No mailed, emailed, or faxed proposals will be accepted. The deadline for all proposals is 5:00 p.m. on December 9, 2009.
